Drawing Myself Draw Myself
Journals are great. When you have a seemingly endless supply of "blank canvases," it's so easy to document thoughts and important events. I currently use 4 different journals to record all of the things I'm doing, feeling, designing, and preparing.
But sometimes, I wasn't doing anything, and I still wanted to document that somehow. A few days ago, I got bored doing nothing and decided to draw what I saw in front of me.
Spacing out after a long workday, mustering the energy to pack up and go home.
I noticed a few things:
- I really enjoyed that.
- My desk is very messy.
It only took a few minutes, and turned my boredom into a piece of art, nay, a masterpiece. If pictures are worth a thousand words, I just did some incredibly efficient journaling.
After my laptop decided it didn't want to connect to WiFi, and before I read more of Amy Poehler's Yes Please.
I've decided I want to keep Drawing Myself Draw Myself. In doing so, I'll be more appreciative of the material items around me and I'll also be improving my drawing skills.
Lounging after having done lots of research on Bay Area design firms.
Look out, World, some pretty mundane drawings are coming your way!
