2 Years in San Francisco

Next week marks my 2 year anniversary with San Francisco! *Blows a party horn*

As I reflect back on my time in this wacky and wonderful city, I feel #blessed to call SF my home. I'm constantly inspired by passionate people around me and I feel like I can be myself here. In college I often felt like my creative side was waiting to burst out of me, and now I almost feel like a part-time artist in residence. I've found a workplace that embraces creativity and encourages side projects that allow me to practice art. Throughout the city, murals are aplenty, a beautiful landscape is a short walk away, and there are art stores and galleries generously sprinkled around. Everyday I feel motivated to work on bettering myself.

Below are some of my favorite pieces/projects I worked on since my last blog post.

Embarcadero Views

I wanted to capture the gorgeous view, but I didn't have my notebook on me. What's a girl to do?

Geode Lines

Got a little Pen Tool happy on Illustrator - I didn't remove the lines outside of the Artboard, but really came to appreciate the white space.

Office Snack Wall

My coworker and I wanted to jazz up the back wall. No better way to get consistent line thickness than using paper tape!

Paper Wall Art

This one took probably close to 10 hours. #WorthIt

Abstract Acrylic

I think 3D acrylic paintings are pretty darn neat. So I tried it out for myself! I didn't analyze my brush strokes and painted without thinking - It was insanely therapeutic.

Office Chalk Wall

I JUMPED at the chance to make a chalk wall at work. And then of course I chose to illustrate one of the best Parks and Recreation quotes of all time.

Prynt Photobooth

I had a lot of fun building a photobooth with some coworkers. But I had WAY more fun painting the side of it.

Drawing Myself Draw Myself 5

I love doing this from time to time. It's a whole new way to look at your environment and it makes me feel like I'm in a cartoon.
